Bubble-Doh Petit Fours

Requirements:
1kg Bubble-Doh (Soap Barn)
Marshmallow fragrance (Soap Barn)
Mother of pearl glitter (Soap Barn)
Pink, yellow or brown powder colouring (Soap Barn)
Rectangle mould (Soap Barn)
Baking soda (Soap Barn)
White or clear glycerine soap (Soap Barn)
Brown paper cups (Chocolate Den)
Cake decorations (Chocolate Den)

Method:
Remove some of your Bubble-Doh from the sealed bag. (Always keep your Bubble-Doh in a tightly sealed bag to keep it from drying out.) Mix your fragrance into your Bubble-Doh as much or as little as you like. I think your Bubble-Doh should always smell heavenly so be generous with your fragrance. Add some powder colour and knead the Bubble-Doh well till the fragrance is mixed through.
Dust your mould with baking soda to help the Bubble-Doh release easily. Fill your mould with Bubble-Doh and then gently knock the shape out of the mould into your hand. Dust the mould again with baking soda and repeat the moulding process. I always find that you get the best results by moulding each shape twice. Place the rectangle on a thick wad of old newspaper covered in paper towelling. Cut it in half and cut off the rounded corners so you have two small petit four shapes from each rectangle that you mould.
After about 3 days your Bubble-Doh petit fours are ready to be decorated. I dipped the top and sides of mine in melted white glycerine soap so they would have a smooth, shiny finish. Sprinkle some glitter onto each petit four. Now decorate it beautifully with small icing decorations and put it in a brown paper cup.
Crumble a couple of petit fours into the bath under the tap before you run the bath water. You will have the loveliest bubble bath ever!

Method:
Remove your Bubble-Doh from the sealed bag and place it in a bowl. Add 200ml hot water and mix through well till you have a smooth soft porridge consistency. Add your fragrance and colouring now. Put your mixture in a piping bag with a star nozzle. Pipe your macaroons out onto brown paper. Place an icing pearl in the middle of each macaroon and sprinkle some mother of pearl glitter over the top. Leave the macaroons 4-5 days to set hard. Make sure you have loads of old newspaper under them to help speed the setting process. Then package them in PVC boxes in brown paper cups.

Add some powder colour and knead the Bubble-Doh well till the fragrance is mixed through.

Dust your mould with bicarbonate of soda to help the Bubble-Doh release easily. Fill your round mould with Bubble-Doh and then gently knock the shape out of the mould into your hand. Please click here to print out labels for this recipe

Method:
Crush 1 cup lavender herb into a glass bowl

Add 2 cups bath crystals

Add lavender fragrance or lavender essential oil. If you like you can leave the lavender bath tea plain but there are two different colouring options: You can add purple powder colouring (same as for bath salts) and this will colour your mixture. Or you can add purple powder dye (same as for soap crayons) and this will colour the mixture and also the bath water. I tried one of these the other day and I just loved being in a lavender bath - lavender herb, lavender fragrance and lavender colour water. It was delightful!

Fill your teabags. I find they take about 1 tablespoon of mixture but you could put less if you like

Seal your teabags with heat. You can use an iron or even a heated teaspoon handle. I didn't have an iron with me at work so I used a teaspoon handle. I turned on the stove put the teaspoon handle on the plate for a few seconds and then pressed it down on the open end of the bag for 1-2 seconds. The bags seal very easily. I also thought of using hair straightening tongs and of course a sealing machine will work if you have one of those. Whatever method you use they are all quick and easy.

Finally you can pack your teabags in a half cube PVC box. I got between ten and twelve bags in a box.
Decorate your box attractively because packaging is everything!

Bath Confetti

Ingredients:
1kg soap noodles (Soap Barn)
Pink soap colouring (Soap Barn)
Purple colouring (Soap Barn)
Gold glitter (Soap Barn)
Fragrance (Soap Barn)
Cellophane (Chocolate Den)
Boxes for packaging (Soap Barn)
Cookie cutter (Soap Barn + Chocolate Den)

Method:
Place your noodles in a large pot on the stove and add five litres of water. Leave on a very low heat (1-2) for about two hours till all the noodles have dissolved in the water. Now add colouring and fragrance of your choice. Always use loads of fragance in your confetti mixture because you want your end product to be very fragrant. Mix well. Lay sheets of cellophane on the floor and pour your melted soap noodles directly onto the cellophane. Leave for 20 minutes to set. Now take your cookie cutter and cut out the entire sheet of soap. The soap that is not confetti should be pulled away from the cellophane and put back into the pot to melt for a second round. Leave the cut out confetti to dry overnight. When the confetti is dry the cellophane will be all puckered up. Pull the sides of the cellophane straight and the dried confetti will pop off. Place the confetti in an attractive box.

Using Bath Confetti:
Sprinkle confetti into the bath. It will fragrance and soap your water. You will feel heavenly with gorgeous smelling soap flowers swirling around you.

Stunning Bubble-Doh shells for your Soap Box

Ingredients:
1kg Bubble-Doh (Soap Barn)
Ocean Mist fragrance (Soap Barn)
Blue powder colouring (Soap Barn)
Baking soda (Soap Barn)
Shell mould (Chocolate Den)
Mother-of-pearl glitter (Soap Barn)

Method:
Remove some of your Bubble-Doh from the sealed bag. (Always keep your Bubble-Doh in a tightly sealed bag to keep it from drying out.) I work with smallish quantities at a time (about 200g) so the Bubble-Doh always stays fresh. You can use plastic gloves because working long with very this very soapy mixture will dry your hands.

Mix your ocean mist fragrance into your Bubble-Doh - lots of it! I think your Bubble-Doh should always smell heavenly and the more fragrance the better! Divide it in half and colour the one half with blue powder colouring. Knead the Bubble-Doh well till the fragrance and colour are well mixed through.

Lightly dust your mould with bicarbonate of soda to help the Bubble-Doh release easily. Fill half your shell mould with blue ocean mist Bubble-Doh and the other half with white ocean mist Bubble- Doh. Press in tightly.

Then gently knock the shell out of the mould onto a piece of cardboard. Sprinkle glitter over your shell.

Leave your shells two days to airdry. Then you can pack them in paper cups into your beautiful ocean mist soap box.

To make your soap box all you need is a soap box mould, a soap box lid mould and glycerine soap.

Easter Fizz for your Bath

Requirements:
1kg Fizz-Bop (Soap Barn)
Ocean Mist Fragrance (Soap Barn)
Blue powder dye (Soap Barn)
Round cookie cutter (Chocolate Den)
Yellow rubber duck (Soap Barn – limited stock item)
Bath Fizz sticker (Soap Barn)
Cellophane (Chocolate Den)

Method:
Heat your Fizz-Bop in the microwave for 1 minute to soften it. Then mix your dye with your fragrance (as much as you like). Add that mixture to the crumbly Fizz Bop. Mix through well. I like to use plastic gloves when using the dye because it is very concentrated. Use the powder dye if you want your Fizz Bop to colour the water. Use powder colour (as opposed to dye) if you don't want your water to change colour. Pack your Fizz Bop into a tight 2cm block on the counter and then cut round shapes out with your cookie cutter. I found that in the current hot climate I needed to put my Fizz Bops into the fridge to set quickly. In winter you won't have to do that. Wrap your round blue ponds in cellophane. Hold your hairdryer over the cellophane to shrink it so you have a lovely neat finish. Place a Bath Fizz sticker on the side and put some double sided tape on the bottom of your yellow rubber duck. Stick your duck on top. Once you have settled into your bath, drop the blue fizzing pond and the duck into the water for the best fun bath you ever had - fizzing blue ocean mist water shared with a rubber duck! Fizz-Bop will soften the water, soften your skin, refresh and revitalise your skin and nourish it with gorgeous oils.

Soapy Play Dough for the Bath this Easter

Requirements:

Assorted powder dyes (Soap Barn)
Assorted fragrances (Soap Barn)
Easter egg moulds (Soap Barn and Chocolate Den)
Soap-Doh stickers (Soap Barn)
Download label here

Cut your egg moulds out with a half cm border around the edge. Divide your Soap-Doh into separate parts for all the colours you would like to make. Colour each part with powder dye (this is very concentrated and you will achieve excellent results with it – I recommend you use plastic gloves while mixing in the colours or you will have coloured hands the whole day!) Fragrance each coloured Soap-Doh with a matching fragrance. I like to mix my colour into the fragrance first and then mix it through the Soap-Doh. It seems to work better that way. Fill each half egg with one colour Soap-Doh. Make sure you fill it right to the top (full full full) so that there is not place for air. Air will dry out your product. Close the back of each half egg with broad sellotape – which will adhere to the edges of the mould. You can stick two half eggs together with double sided tape. Package the eggs in cellophane or in boxes or even loose. Using Soap-Doh: This product is a play dough for bath time. It is soft, smooth and gentle on the skin. It is a mild soap and will wash children as they play with it. This is an all time bath favourite with children.
